	Almon Travis Bard, 62, 1024 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, a Franklin 
County Department of Transportation employee for the past ten years, died at 
3:10 PM Saturday, February 6, 1982, in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, 
MD., where he was a patient for five weeks.
	Born in Sips Mill October 29, 1919, he was the son of the late Sherman 
and Goldie Pittman Bard.
	Mr. Bard was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Church in 
Harrisonville.
	Surviving are his wife, Goldie Mellott Bard; a son, Dallas Bard of 
Chambersburg; two daughters, Delores (Mrs. Keith) Eyers, Chambersburg, and 
Wavaline Bard, Chambersburg; two brothers: Durkee Bard, McConnellsburg and 
Elston Bard, Geneva, Fla.; four sisters:  Janet Swope and Edna Allison both of 
Hope Sound, Fla., Margaret Swope of Needmore and Faye Bard of Pleasant Point, 
W. Va.; and four grandsons.  A sister preceded him in death.
	The funeral was held Tuesday, February 9, in the Pleasant Ridge 
Nazarene Church, with Rev. Emerson Walker and Rev. Willis Swope officiating.  
Burial was made in the church cemetery.
	Arrangements were handled by the Howard Sipes Funeral Home, 
Harrisonville.
