Bridgeton Evening News 
Failing Health Causes Death Of Orville Johnson

  Orville A. Johnson, 65, a resident of 28 Rogers avenue died wedensday 
morning at Bridgeton Hospital where he had been a patient two days. He had 
been in failing health several years.
  Mr. Johnson was born in Pennsylvania the son of the late Frank and Phebe   
(Sloan)Johnson. He had been employed as a guard for the B.K.B. Reality Company 
at the Murbeck plant and prior to that had worked at Perkins-DeWilde Nursery 
for over 30 years.
  Surviving are: six sons, Orville A. Jr., Raymond L., Theodore H., Donald R., 
and Carl R. all of Bridgeton, and Kenneth A. Johnson of St. Petersburg Fla.; a 
daughter Mrs Herschell Sterman Bridgeton: 17 grandchildren: one great-
grandchild: three sisters Mrs. Iona Hewes, Millville, Mrs. Frank Wiedman, 
Sicklerville and Mrs. Alfred Roork of California, and a brother. LeRoy Johnson 
of Bridgeton.
  The Rev. John A. Gibbs pastor of the West Park United Methodist Church will 
conduct funeral services Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Garrison Funeral Home, 
43 Fayette street with interment at Frenwood Memorial Park. Friends may call 
Friday evening from 7 to 8 o'clock.
