OLA JORDAN DEAD The sad news of the death of Mrs. Ola Jordan was received in Ellaville yesterday morning and carried sorrow to the hearts of many friends. She had been suffering for several days from an attack of the slow fever, and the skill of physicians and the tenderest of care of loved ones was powerless to stay the ravages of the disease. For two days she lingered on the border land, then the gentle spirit passed peacefully beyond the gates of pearl into the city where cometh no night. A sorrowing young husband and two year old child, with many relatives and friends are left to mourn the loss of this young wife and mother. Mrs. Jordan was about twenty years of age. Before her marriage she was Miss King of Houston county, and her remains were taken to her old home for burial. The NEWS extends sympathy to the bereaved. Additional Comments: (note: A subsequent article in the following week's paper referred to Mrs. Jordan as Alma an indicated that she was the daughter of W.S. and Fannie King of Bonaire, Houston county. It further states that she was married to C.C. Jordan of Sumter county on November 29th, 1894.) This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
