MRS. ISRAEL

The graveside service for Mrs. Mamie Harris Israel, of Jacksonville Fla., 
formerly of Sumter County, who died Thursday night in Jacksonville, is planned 
Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from Williams Cemetery near Smithville. The Americus 
Chapter No. 63 Order of Eastern Star, will conduct the rites.
Mrs. Israel was a native of Roberta and lived in Sumter Co. many years, 
teaching in the Lee County school system prior to moving to Jacksonville.
She was the daughter of the late James E. Harris and Mrs. Mamie Burnett Harris 
and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Baptist Church. She was the widow 
of David D. Israel.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Pearl H. Usry, Jacksonville; two sisters-in-
law , Mrs. Anna Kearce, Americus and Mrs. Bessie Nunnally, Atlanta; three 
brothers-in-law, R. A. Israel, Americus, J. F. Israel, Dawson, and Floyd 
Israel, Union City, Ga.
Reese Park Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
