MRS FANNIE HOLSTEIN DEAD
Mrs. Fannie Holstein, mother of Mrs. A.J. Easom, of Americus, died Tuesday
morning near Friendship, Sumter county, and was buried at Ellaville
Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. R.F. Williamson officiating.  The
deceased had been ill at the home of her son Mr. Steve Holstein for some
time and her death was not a surprise.  She is survived by Mrs. A.J. Easom,
of Americus, Mrs. J.H. Fulford, of Atlanta, and Mr. Steve Holstein, of
Friendship.  Their many friends in this county sympathisize with them in
their breavement.  Mrs. Holstein was a former citizen of our city, and was
much loved by all who knew her.  She was a most estimable christian lady.

(Transcriber's note:  Fannie Holstein/Holston was born Frances H. Phillips,
March 22, 1837.  She died May 16, 1911 according to her marker at Ellaville
Cemetery.  She married Jasper Holston Aug. 27, 1865 in Schley Co.  Jasper
Holston was a Civil War veteran, having served in Co. G, 5th Ga. Inf. and
Co. B, 17th Ga. Inf. until he was wounded in the hand, necessitating
amputation.)
