LUCY GRACE SNIDER HART
Ellaville, Ga.-Mrs. Lucy Grace Snider Hart, age 93, of Ellaville, GA passed 
into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice 
Inpatient Center, in Statesboro, GA.  Funeral services were held Saturday, 
November 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, GA Hwy 30, Americus, 
burial followed in the Family Cemetery at Friendship Church with Rev. Hubert 
Tankersly and Rev. James Hughes officiating.  Mrs. Hart was born May 20, 1915 
in Schley County, GA.  She was the last surviving member of nine children born 
to Charlie W. Snider and Lucy Caroline Lightner Snider.  She was a homemaker 
and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she was the church clerk, 
WMU Director, and Sunday School teacher as long as her health permitted.  Mrs. 
Hart was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Scott Hart.  She was a 
beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Survivors include two 
daughters and sons-in-law, Mima and Jeff Owens of Statesboro, GA and Scottie 
and Brinson Hughes of Dublin, GA; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Charles E. 
and Linda Hart of Americus, and Scott and Virginia Hart of Moultrie, GA; nine 
grandchildren-Jeff and Christine Owens, Johnny and Lourie Owens, Joy and Kevin 
Deal, James and Alexis Hughes, Chip and Sheri Hart, Phil and Leslie Hart, 
Mandy and Billy Chambers, Mary Beth and James Watson, Trey and Lacey Hart.  
Mrs. Hart is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and several nieces 
and nephews.  Grandsons served as pall bearers.
