FINAL TRIBUTE PAID W.L. ENGLISH, 72
Final tribute was paid here Saturday afternoon to Mr. Will English, 72, well-
known former local citizen, who died Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home 
of his brother, Mr. Russell English, in Oglethorpe, after an illness of eight 
days.  Elder J.M. Chance officiated at the graveside service, and was assisted 
by the Rev. Roy J. Bond.  The son of the late Thomas English and Mrs. Eliza 
Huggins English, he was born at Englishville.  A retired real estate man and 
farmer, Mr. English formerly resided in Americus where he was prominent in 
business and fraternal circles.  Thirty-five years ago he married Miss Martha 
Williams.  Surviving besides his widow are one daughter, Mrs. Martha 
Livingston; a sister, Mrs. Etta Royal, of Ellaville; two brothers, Wiley 
English, of Englishville, and Susell English, of Oglethorpe.  Pallbearers were 
John English, Derrick English, Olin English, Robert Mathis, Charles Slappey 
and H.J. Dyess.
