FUNERAL FOR MRS. BELL, 81
Funeral services were held at Shiloh Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 
o'clock for Mrs. Virginia King Bell, 81, who died at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Berta Johnson in Americus Friday.  The Rev. W.A. Joyner and Dr. L.M. 
Polhill officiated.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Surviving are three 
daughters, Mrs. E.L. Beckwith of Schley county; Mrs. Sara Maxwell of 
Birmingham, and Mrs. Johnson; three sons, Frank, Mack and A.C. Bell, all of 
Americus besides several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Pallbearers 
were:  Dr. H.L. Boyd, O.C. Law, Wallace Cheek, J.W. Lott, George Rees of 
Preston, and J.A. Dupree.  An honorary escort was composed of Dr. J.W. 
Chambliss, H.A. Battle, Cleve Rees, of Preston, L.L. McEntire, Raymond McNeil, 
George Drew of Preston, Hamer Abell of Richland, Lester Kitchens, and John B. 
Cooper.
