Obituary of Donald Dennis Autry as written on page 8 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 17 Dec 1959.  Camilla, Georgia.   
On Saturday morning, December 12th, death came to Donald Dennis Autry at 5:45 
o'clock.  He died at Mitchell County Hospital after an illness of six months.  
Mr. Autry was born in Sumter County, Georgia, November 3, 1886, the eldest son 
of the late James Marion Autry and Emma Johnson Autry.  He moved with his 
family to Hinsonton about sixty years ago where he has lived ever since.  He 
was married in 1909 to the former Annie Mae Hinson and to this union three 
children were born.  He attended church at the Hinsonton Baptist Church and was 
a member of the Woodmen of the World.  Mr. Autry was engaged in business as a 
sawmill operator, a country store operator and a farmer.  Surviving him besides 
his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Louise Davis of Tampa, Fla.; one son, J. Dawson 
Autry of Hinsonton; four grandchildren, Denny and Judith Davis of Tampa, Jay 
and Denise Autry of Hinsonton; one brother, J. E. Autry, Sr. of Hinsonton; four 
sisters, Mrs. Malissa Leverette, Mrs. L. A. Edwards and Mrs. Stetson Adams, all 
of Hinsonton, and Mrs. Agnes Sapp of Orlando, Fla.  Funeral services were held 
at four o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Hinsonton Baptist Church with interment 
following in Liberty Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Buford Pittman of Albany, pastor of 
Hinsonton Baptist Church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Jasper Sadler of Pelham, 
a former pastor.  Pallbearers were A. F. Spinks, Y. M. Blanchard, W. H. 
Bozeman, Theodore Robinson, O. G. Harrell, W. H. Rouse, Jr., R. H. Davis and J. 
M. Roberts.  Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham had charge of funeral 
arrangements.  There were relatives coming for the funeral from Deerfield 
Beach, Orlando, Indiantown, Gainesville, Seffner and Tampa, Fla., Atlanta, 
Macon, Americus, Leslie, Albany, Thomasville, Cairo and Moultrie, Ga.
