Testator: John Anderson

In the name of God Amen I John Anderson of the
County of Orange & state of North Carolina being of Sound
and Perfect mind & memory (Blessed be God) do this fifteenth
day of February in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight
Hundread & Six make & publish this my last will and
Testament in manner following that is to say ----

First I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Mary one horse
named Darb two Cows two Fether Beds & Furniture

Secondly I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Pheby one Mare
named Mountain two cows two Fether Beds & Furniture

Thirdly I give and Bequeath to my Son Robert Forty four acers
of Land off the East end of the tract of Land I now live on
Including the land that he has now under fence also one
Feather Bed and Furniture

Fourthly I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Ann one Horse named
Lewe two Cows two Fether Beds & Furniture

Fifthly I give and Bequeath to my Son John all the Land whereon
I now live except the forty four acers above given to my Son
Robert with all the farming tools and waggon and Gears also all
my Houshold and Kitchen Furniture that has not been already
given also all my Living Stock of Horses Cattle Hogs & Sheep
I also allow my son John to maintain my wife Lettice in
a Comfortable manner During the term of Her natural
life I further allow my Son John to maintain in a Comfort=
able manner my above mentioned Daughters Mary Pheby
and Ann as long as they shall see fit to live with
him

Sixthly I give & bequeath to my daughter Lettice three
Sheep

I give and Bequeath to my son Stuart one Feather Bed

I hereby make and ordain my ["worthy"? x-out] Son[sic] Robert & John
Executors of this my last will and Testament in Witness
whereof I the said John Anderson have to this my last
Will and Testament Set my hand and Seal the day
and year above written           his

Stock of Horses Cattle Hogs & Sheep I also allow my son John to main-
tain my wife Lettice in a comfortable manner During the term of her
natural life ~~~ I further allow my [son] John to maintain in a Comfort
able manner my above mentioned Daughters Mary Pheby and Ann
as long as they shall see fit to live with him ~~~~

The Execution of the foregoing Last Will & Testament of Jno.
Anderson Decd. was duly proved in open Court by the Oaths
of Thos. Armstrong & Robt. Anderson two of the subscribing
Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be recorded at the Same time
the Executors therein named qualified Accordingly ~~~~~
