Testator: Elizabeth Brewer

In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth Brewer of
the County of Orange and State of North Carolina, being
old, and infirm, but of disposing mind and memory
therefore calling to mind the Mortality of my body, do
make and Ordain this to be my last will and Testament
in manner and form following.

First my will is, that all my just debts [be] punctually paid
I give and bequeath to my Niece Betsy Oldham, my
negro girl, Carmelia, to her, her heirs and assigns for ever
I give and bequeath to my Niece Mary Ann Braches
my negro girl Malissa, to her, her heirs and assigns
for ever.

    All the residue and remainder of my Estate both real &
personal, I leave to be sold, and the proceeds thereof to be
equally divided betwixt my Brothers Ezekiel Brewer, my
Brother Thomas Brewer, and my Sister Rebekah Hop=
-son, to be theirs, their heirs and assigns for ever. It is my
particular wish and desire, that my Negroes when sold,
should have the privilege of Choosing their Masters.

    Lastly I constitute and appoint my friend
Thomas Snipes of Chatham County, Executor
of this my last Will and Festament. In Witness
whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal, this
twenty fifth day of September 1827 - -

The Execution of the foregoing Last Will and Testament
of Elizabeth Brewer decd. was duly proved in open Court
by the Oaths of W.S. Snipes and George W. Morrow the subscribing
Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded At the same time ["the" x-out] Thomas Snipes the Executor
therein named appeared in open Court and qualified accordingly

Estate Papers comprise 17 pages and are found in a folder labeled "Brewer, Elizabeth (1829)".  This Elizabeth is mentioned as a legatee in Sackfield Brewer's estate.
