Testator: Biddy Brewer

In the Name of God, Amen.  I, Biddy Brewer,
in the county of Orange and State of North
Carolina, being of sound mind and memory
and considering the uncertainty of this frail
and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain
publish, and declare, this to be my last Will,
and Testament: That is to say, First, after all my
lawful debts are paid and discharged, the res-
idue of my estate, I give, bequeath, and dis-
pose of, as follows, to wit: I desire all of my
property to be sold and equally divided between
my son John Brewer and my daughter
Rebecca Brewer.  I consider that all of the
rest of my children have had their proportion-
able part. Likewise, I make, constitute, and
appoint, my friend, Thomas D. Oldham
my executor of this my last will and testament.

    In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed
my name and affixed my seal this 3rd day
November in the year of our Lord ["1857" x-out]

I, Biddy Brewer in the County of Orange and State of
