Testator: Robert Blackwood

In the name of God Amen, I Robert
Blackwood of the County of Orange
and state of North Carolina, being in
a low state of health, but of sound mind
and memory, do make and ordain this
my last will and Testament in manner
and form following to wit.

1st It is my will and desire to be decently
Burried 2nd that all my just debts
should be paid. Third I request that all
of my Lands shall be Equally divided
between my two Children, Robert and
Sarah Blackwood, I allso give to my son
Robert Blackwood my truckel[Note 1] bedsted
bed and clothing belonging to said bed, I
give to my daughter Sarah Blackwood
my French bedstead, bed and clothing allso
my large Blue Chest to them and their
heirs forever. And all of my other property
to be sold, and the profits arising therefrom
to be Equally divided between my said
Children, Robert and Sarah Blackwood
I do hereby appoint my true and lawful
friend Hudson M. Cave to this my
last will and Testament, revoking all
other wills heretofore made by me

In testamony where of I have subscribed
my name and affixed my seal

In the name of God Amen, I Robert Black=
wood of the County of Orange and state of North ~~
Carolina, being in a low state of health, but of sound

The execution of the foregoing last will &
Testament of Robert Blackwood decd. was
duly proved in open Court by the oath of
George W McCauley one of the subscribing
witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded

At the same Time Hudson M Cave the
Executor therein named appeared in open
Court and qualified accordingly

Note 1: "truckel" should be truckle, a British word for trundle bed.
