WILL OF ANN CHRISTIANN(A) ZIMMERMAN. ( Wife of Johann Christian 
Zimmerman) Dated 26 Nov 1855 

In the name of God Amen, I, Christiann Zimmerman of Carroll County, in the State of 
Maryland, being sick and weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind, memory and 
understanding and considering the certainty of death, and the uncertainty of the time 
thereof, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs, and thereby be the better prepared 
to leave this world when it shall please God to call me, hence do therefore make & publish 
this, my last will and testament, in manner and form following, that is to say, First and 
principally I commit my Soul unto the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth to 
be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor, hereinafter named and after my debts 
and funeral charges are met, I desire and bequeath as follows. 

-- -- -- -- bequeath unto my beloved daughter Caroline, intermarried to Samuel Zepp, all 
my personal property together with all my real estate situate in Carroll County, and 
adjoining lands of Jacob Seilers, John Rickey and others and containing about twenty 
acres of land, more or less, to her, her heirs, and assigns forever upon condition that she 
comfortably support, maintain and pay proper attention to me in sickness during the 
remainder of natural life. 

And whereas I have money standing out, I will and direct that my Executor hereinafter - - 
- collect the same and pay all of my debts & funeral charges out of the same and the 
balance of all money to be equally divided among my ten children, their heirs, assigns, 
share and share alike by, Elizabeth, intermarried to Henry Keller; Polly, intermarried to 
Andrew Miller; George Zimmerman; John Zimmerman; Lydia, intermarried to William 
Runk; Christian Zimmerman; Henry Zimmerman; Sarah Ann, intermarried to Jacob 
Rumler; Adam Zimmerman; and Caroline, intermarried to Samuel Zepp; to them, their 
heirs, assigns, as a full portion of my estate, both real personal & - - - - 

Then I further will and direct that all the expenses that may accrue in the settlement of said 
estate, together with the aforesaid debts and funeral charges be paid out of my 
withstanding money and then the balance of this money to be equally divided among my 
ten children, their heirs and assigns, share and share-alike. And all the aforementioned 
personal estate to my said daughter Caroline, her heirs and assigns forever, free, clear and 
discharged from all expenses whatsoever arising from the settlement of said estate. 

And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my Son in law, Samuel Zepp to be the 
Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and annulling all former wills 
by me heretofore made, -- -- -- confirming this and none other to be my last will and 
testament. In Testimony thereof I have hereunto set my hand and affix my Seal the twenty 
sixth day of November, in the Year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty five.
