I, Edward Parrish, Sr. of Baltimore County, planter, living in perfect _________ and sound memory and 
understanding ______ weak in body but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, I do hereby 
make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (to wit) for to 
commend my soul to Almighty God and my body to earth to be entered in a decent christian manner at 
the discretion of my executors.  

I give and bequeath to my dear wife the whole tract of Land called Edward's Delight containing twenty 
acres and part of a tract of lannd called Parrishes Forest containing one hundred acres and all my 
personal Estate to be enjoyed by her as long as she lives and after her decease to fall to the following 
heirs (illegible)

Item I give and bequeath to my sons Richard and Edward Parrish part of a tract of Land called Clark's 
Park containing one hundred acres upon clearing my Estate clearly from all encumbrances, debts, sues 
and demands from John Ridgely's Executors and then revokiing all former Bonds or Instruments of 
writing by us made.

I give and bequeath to my four sons Stephen Parrish, John Parrish, William Parrish, Benjamin Parrish and 
James Parrish all them two parcels of Land from one part of Parrishes (Forest) divided between them to 
be enjoyed by them forever.  I give and bequeath to my four daughters Sarah, Elizabeth, Artridge and 
Susan Parrish all my persnal Estate to be equally divided and enjoyed by them forever.  I hereby 
constitute my wife and son Stephen Parris (sic) Executors of this my Last Will and Testament hereby 
revoking all former Will or Wills by me made.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 
this 26 day of May in the year of our Lord 1773.

Probated 26 day July 1773.  Witnesses to will were Nathan Chapman, Benjamin (BW his mark) Williams 
and Edward (E his mark) Parrish.

Additional Comments:
Note in paragraph four:  ",,,,to my four sons" with five being named.  The Baltimore County Land Records 
Index 1659-1800 has three different records of property being deeded to and later conveyed to George 
Leddick and Henry Weist in 1793by four excluding James, 1796 by James, and 1799 by Richard.
