DANNER, Teter

In the name of God, Amen the thirteenth Day of October in the year of our Lord
seventeen hundred and sixty eight  I Teter Danner of Frederick County, in the
province of Maryland, Blacksmith  being very sick and weak in body but of
perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God therefor calling unto mind the
mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do
make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and
first of all  I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it
and for my body I recommend it to the earth to be buried in a Christian like and
decent manner at the disgression of my executors nothing doubting but at the
general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God 
and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me
with in this life  I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner
and form

Imprimis  my will is that all my estate both real and personal be sold except my
mare called Bonny and one of my cows which my wife shall choose  which estate to
go with the debts due to me in the Country be disposed of as herein after
mentioned,  and further my will is that my wife and children shall dwell on my
plantation I now dwell on until it be sold and have a sufficient maintenance out
of the crop now gathered in and that in the ground and also out of my stock now
on said plantation while they dwell thereon which I do also except out of my
estate as above said.

Item  I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Barbaron one black mare
called Bonny and one cow which she shall choose as above excepted and one third
part of the amount of my whole estate above mentioned after my just debts are
paid thereout of.

Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved children Margaret Mary David Catherine
Jacob Shusannah and Esther, all the remainder of my estate to each one an equal
part,  which money there is bequeathed to my children I will to be put out at
Interest untill they respectively come to be of age to receive it,  which
Interest I will be given to my said wife while she keeps my said children and
educates and brings them up in a Christian like manner to enable her so to do

And I do hereby authorize and impower my Executors here after named to make a
good and sufficient deed or conveyance of my land being the plantation I now
dwell on to the person or persons purchasing the same to all intents and
purposes as good and sufficient as I myself could now do and lastly I do
constitute make and ordain my trusty friends George Smith and John McKinhle my
only and sole Executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby
utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former testament wills
legacies and executors by me in any wise before this time named willed and
bequeathed  ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and
testament  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and
year above written            Teter Danner  (Seal)

Signed sealed published published pronounced and declared by the said Teator
Danner as his last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers
William Blair     Reece (P-his mark) Phillips    Michael (M-his mark) Danner

On the 17th day of October 1768 Came Reese Phillips and Michael Danner two of
the subscribing witnesses to the afore going will and made oath on the holy
Evangels of almighty God that they did see the Testator Tetor Danner sign and
seal the said will and heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be
his last will and testament and that at the time of his so doing he was to the
best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind and memory and that they
also saw William Blair the other subscribing Witness to the said will sign his
name as a witness thereto and that they severally subscribed their names as
witness to the said will in presence of the said testator and in presence of
each other.
