RAYMOND TIMES          1839 December 1839

         TO THE LOVERS OF SPORT.
           RAYMOND JOCKEY CLUB
                   RACES.
  The Raymond Jockey Club have succeeded 
in obtaining the  track near town,
which will immediately be put in fine 
order.  Respectable purses have been raised,
and the races will commence on Monday
the 13th January, 1840, continuing five days.
  First day, Mile heat for colts.
  Second day, Two mile heats.
  Forth day, Three mile heats
  Fifth day, Single dash of a mile.

Advocate, Vicksburg Whig and Port Gibson

above advertisement till the races and
