Death Of An Old Indian Princess. March 3, 1860
Death of an old Indian Princess.
On Wednesday last week, Eunice Manwee, the last full-blooded Indian of the
Pishgachligoh tribe, and a resident of the Indian Reserve, in Kent, (N. Y.), died at
the age of 103 years. She was the grand-daughter of Gideon Manweesemum, the last
sachem of the tribe, and the first convert by the Moravian missionaries in that
region.
