Little Gleaners Met

Missionary Workers of the First Baptist Church

The 'Little Gleaners' an active organization of young missionary workers of
the First Baptist Church, held their regular monthly meeting last Saturday
afternoon at the home of Miss Jessie Carman, on Washington street. The society
is at work now making a quilt that they expect to finish before next Winter,
and it will be sent away in a missionary barrel or given to some needy family
nearer home. After the usual devotional exercises some time was spent working
upon the quilt, and then came the social part of the programme. Various games
were played, into which the girls entered heartily, and then the pleasant
afternoon was closed with the serving of dainty refreshments.
