Dollar Weekly News February 7, 1903

G. Willis Bateman, a farmer living near the Old Stone Church, was run into by 
a runaway horse this morning near Mr. Shoemaker's in East Commerce Street. The 
runaway belonged to a clam and oyster peddler, the accident being caused by a 
bolt coming out of the running gears of the wagon. An axle was bent in Mr. 
Bateman's brand new wagon.
