Bates and Dixon Given a Hearing

Bates Sent to Jail - While Dixon Secures Bail for Court

From Saturday's Evening News

Williams Bates and Thomas Dixon were given a hearing before Mayor Hampton
yesterday afternoon on the charge of disorderly conduct at the theatre a few
nights ago. There was strong evidence against the accused. They were each held
in bail for court. Bates failed to get bail and went back to jail. Dixon
obtained security and was released both pending the action of the May grand
jury.
