Jane Armstrong, applicant appeared in proper person
Others: James Armstrong, Jane Armstrong, and Calvin Mapes and Dorothy his wife
appeared in proper person, Jane stated they are all brothers and sisters of
John Armstrong.

The last Will and Testament of John Armstrong of the town of Allen, in the
county of Allegany, state of New York

I, John Armstrong Aged thirty ones years and upwards according to my memory,
being desirous to discharge the duty which every man owes to his family, by
making provisions for the distribution of my property as shall be just and
equitable, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, as
follows.

1st. I direct that my just debts and the expenses of my funeral shall be paid
in preference to any legacy herein contained.

2nd. I give unto my beloved Mother Jane Armstrong all my seal and personal
estate which I now own or may own at my death.

Lastly, I appoint my mother Jane Armstrong and James Wilson Junr. as my
Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testment. In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand this 23rd day of October 1834 one thousand eight
hundred and thirty four.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was subscribed by John Armstrong
the Testator in our presence and was declared by him to be his last Will and
Testament and we at his request have signed our names as Witnesses.

Cyrus Jennings, residing in the town of Angelica, Allegany Co.
