In the Name of God, Amen: I, John Wixson of the town to Birdsall in the county 
of Allegany and state of New York being of sound mind and memory, do make, 
publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that 
is to say, First - I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. 
second - I give and bequeath to my son Richard - my traction engine, the saw 
mill & its contents now on his farm, a pair of trucks & my seperator - Third I 
give & bequeath to my son Dana E. my team of Grey horses my portable feed mill & 
25 sheep to be selected by some dininteresed person. Fourth the remainder of my 
personal property, excepting a clain I hold against Cliff Artman, I give & 
bequeath absolutely to my wife Sarah E. Wixson, subject however to the payment 
of all just claims against my estate, which is to be paid from the property 
hereby bequeathed to her. Fifth - I also give & bequeath to my said wife, the 
use of all my real estate as long as she shall remain unmarried The above 
provisions for my wife to be accepted by her in liue of dower or any statutory 
claim she may have upon my estate. Sixth - Upon the death or remarriage of my 
said wife I give devise and bequeath said real estate as follows - To my son 
Dana E. I give, devise & bequeath what is known as the Wardner farm containing 
about 128 acres - which I purchased of Silas Wardner, but upon condition that my 
said son make no claim upon my estate for wages - this bequest being in lieu & 
to compensate him for anything I may owe him for wages at my decease. To my son 
Richard, I give, devise & bequeath what is known as the Shaw lot containing 
about 44 acres. Seventh - I give & bequeath the claim I have against Cliff 
Artman amounting to about the sum of $216 - to my two sons, share & share alike. 
The bequest to my son Richard is on the same condition that he make no claim on 
my estate for wages - Lastly, I hereby appoint my son Richard Wixson executor of 
this my last will and testament: hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name the Fifteenth day of June 
in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & ninety-seven
