DesChamps, Ernest F.            
HALFMOON Ernest F. DesChamps, 79, died Saturday, September 4, 2004 at his home
after a short illness. Born July 6, 1925 in Cohoes, the son of the late Joseph
and Malvina Daigneault DesChamps. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran
serving in the Philippines on the USS Essex aircraft carrier. He has lived in
Halfmoon for the past 50 years. Ernest worked for the NYS, DEC in Albany in
human resource management for 32 years before retiring in 1983 and also worked
at JC Penny's in Clifton Park for several years. He was a member of the
SPEBSQSA (Barber Shop Quartet) and was active in the Saratoga Racing City
Choirs for the past 35 years. Ernest also enjoyed gardening and painting. He
is survived by his wife Carol Adams DesChamps of Halfmoon; a son, Randy
DesChamps of Halfmoon; a daughter, Nancy Hegmann of Halfmoon; four
grandchildren, Keith and Brian Ashline, Kelli Fratus and Travis Hegmann. He
was predeceased by a son, Mark A. DesChamps and his brother, Leo DesChamps.

services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Catricala Funeral Home, Inc.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home,
