DeSantis, Evelyn M.             
ALBANY Evelyn M. DeSantis, 62, died Saturday, September 4, 2004 at St. Peter's
Hospital due to heart failure and cancer. Born in Albany, N.Y. to the late
Joseph and Loretta (Domenico) DeSantis. Evelyn was a graduate of Albany High
School. She owned her own business as a beautician for many years. She was
then employed by the New York State Dept. of Labor until her retirement in
2003. She was also a member of the Italian American Club and loved her doll
collection. Evelyn is survived by sisters-in-law, Sandra DeSantis, Josephine
DeSantis and Helen (Roland) DeSantis Graves; her loving nephew and nieces,
Joseph (Delphina) DeSantis, Michele (William) Giovannettone and Antoinette
Toni Barrett; cousins, Irene Deltorto, Mickie McClune; her dearest friends,
Arlene, Celia, Shirley and Diane; and several other nieces, nephews and
cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, George, William and Michael
DeSantis. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western
Ave., Albany, Wednesday morning at 8:15 and 9:00 in St. Margaret Mary's
Church, Homestead St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call
at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of
Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions in Evelyn's memory may be
made to the charity of your choice.
