Battibulli Sr., Thomas A.            
ALBANY Thomas A. Battibulli Sr., 74, died Sunday, September 26, 2004 at Albany
Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born in Albany, he was the son of the
late Joseph and Zenilda Bevilacqua Battibulli. Mr. Battibulli was a U.S.
Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a mail handler with the
U.S. Postal Service in Albany and retired after over 20 years of service. Mr.
Battibulli was a charter member of the Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the
Bucci McTague VFW Post and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Battibulli was a
longtime communicant of St. Teresa of Avila Church. Husband of Angela
Calsolaro Battibulli; father of Sharon Legare of Latham, Joanne Bertsche and
her husband Thomas of Chicago and Thomas A. Battibulli Jr. and his wife Linda
of Albany; brother of Julius Battibulli of Albany and the late Enrico
Battibulli, Yolanda Comproski Stribel and Virginia Gecewicz Hewitt;
grandfather of Veronica, Emily, Brian, Kathleen, Joseph, Rico and Liliana.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Loving thanks to the critical
care unit nursing staff at the Albany Memorial Hospital and Dr. Carla F.
Fernando-Gilday. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the
Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. thence to St. Teresa of Avila
Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home
Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will follow the Mass in Our Lady of Angels
Cemetery, Colonie. Those who wish may send donations to St. Teresa of Avila
Church Memorial Fund, 435 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208.
