Decker, Eldora A. HOOSICK FALLS Eldora Adelaine Kronenbitter Decker, 90, formerly of Grogan Road in Pittstown, died on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at the Danforth Adult Care Center where she has been a resident since June of 1998. Born in New York City in 1914, she was the daughter of the late William and Dora Sophie Hoppmann Kronenbitter. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick H. Decker who died June 8, 2001. They were married in Staten Island in 1942, where they lived for many years. Eldora moved from Carmel, N.Y. to Pittstown in 1968. Mrs. Decker attended Curtis High School in Staten Island. She worked for Western Electric while living on Staten Island and helped her late husband, who was the caretaker of the Herbert Carlbach Estate in Rye, N.Y. while living there. Eldora was a nurses aide at the Bennington Convalescent Center retiring in 1982. She loved cooking and baking and being involved with the Boy Scouts and her church. Survivors include five nieces and two nephews. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 18 at 2 p.m. in the Dover Plains Cemetery in Dover Plains, N.Y.
