Coshocton Tribune

Phillip Paul Johns, 85, Port Washington, retired clay worker, died at 4 am today
at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Ridgley, 735 East State St.
Newcomerstown, following a seven month illness.  He lived with his daughter for
the past five months. He was born July 9, 1875, at Bernice, Tuscarawas county, a
son of George and Lydia Ann Kees Johns, and was married July 26, 1899 to Maggie
Duhamel, who survives. He was a member of the Newcomerstown Church of Christ.
Surviving in addition to the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Harry Haver, Dover,
Route 2, and Mrs. Ridgley; six grandchildren.  One son, three brothers and three
sisters are deceased.  Services will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Newcomerstown
Church of Christ in charge of Brother David Reppart.  Burial will be in Union
cemetery at Port Washington.
