Coshocton Tribune

Alfred Johns.  The subject of this sketch was born in Jefferson county 82 years
ago, March 20th, and came to this county while quite young.  He resided on a
farm in this vicinity until 21 years ago, when he moved his family to
Newcomerstown, where he resided ever since. He died from the effects of
paralysis at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Agnes Loader, Saturday morning,
April 25. His wife died last June. They are survived by the following children;
Burr Johns of Canton, Frank of this city, Mrs. Wesley Ames of Rock, O., Mrs.
Cora Hinds, Mrs. Agnes Loader, and Miss Amanda Johns all of Newcomerstown. The
funeral service was held Monday afternoon from the M. P. church of which the
deceased was a member, Pastor Hudnall officiating. Mr. Johns was of a pleasant
jovial disposition and was respected by all who knew him.
