THE OLD LAND MARKS PASS
With the passing of Henry Davison the writer is made to pause the moment
to think of the rapid passing of the old land marks. In a daily travel
up and down the streets for forty five years, and with an intimate
knowledge of the people for that long, we find today in Delta, only a
few of the people left, who were the active men and women of those
days. In memory, we can see Main street as it was then. Today it is
all changed. Only just a very few of the old familiar faces are left.
The town is all different, the people are new, the customs are new.
Those were good days then, and it seems that maybe the people were just
a little more happy and content. TO-DAY is always wonderful- but one
has to live so long to appreicate how wonderful it is.
