4/10/1941 Coshocton Tribune (Thursday) 
Resident of Booth Neighborhood Dies as Result of Fall--  A fractured hip
suffered in a fall last Saturday resulted in the death of Mrs. John Davis,
81-year-old Booth woman, at 12:30 a.m. today a the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Lillie Alloway, West Main St., Newcomerstown. Mrs. Davis was born Nov. 4, 1859
at Port Washington, a daughter of Wesley and Margaret Stocker. She was a
lifelong resident of the Booth vicinity, south of Newcomerstown, and was a
member of the King's U.B. church. Her husband, John Davis, died in 1932. 
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alloway, Mrs. Beal Curby of Newcomerstown
Route 2; two sons, John C. Davis of Guernsey Route 2 and Howard Davis of Carson,
Iowa; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Johns
of Newcomerstown route, and a brother, Harry Stocker of Guernsey route.
   Brief services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of Mrs. Alloway,
with additional rites at 2:30 at King's church. Rev. Harold Davis of the
Newcomerstown U.B. church will officiate, assisted by Rev. W.W. Ralph of Trinity
Methodist church. Burial will be in King's Cemetery.

Daughter of Cyrus Sylvester & Margaret May Low/Loche Stocker. Wife of John
Hamilton Davis.
