Coshocton Native Dead at Home in Newcomerstown - Coshocton Tribune   January 27,
1939 -  Mrs. Samuel Clough, native of Coshocton, died at 10:10 a.m. today at her
home at 229 East State Street in Newcomerstown. She had been ill since the
holidays and bedfast for the last week. She was 67. Jennie Patton was born Nov.
27, 1872, in Coshocton, a daughter of James and Margaret Patton.  In 1907 she
moved to Cambridge, where she had spent most of her life.  She moved to
Newcomerstown two years ago.  She was married March 15, 1893, to Samuel Clough,
who survived.  She also leaves three daughters, Mrs. Margaret King, Loretta
Clough, and Blanche Clough, all of the home; a son, Fred Clough of
Newcomerstown, Route 1;  five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. No
funeral arrangements have been made.  FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS - Private funeral
services for Mrs. Jennie Clough, will be held at 1 o'clock at the home, E. State
Street, Monday.  Rev. Chas. Foust, Newcomerstown, officiating.  Burial will be
in a Cambridge cemetery.

DEATHS & FUNERALS - MRS JENNIE CLOUGH - Newcomerstown, Jan. 27 -- Mrs. Jennie
Clough, 67, former Cambridge resident, died Friday morning at 10:10 o'clock at
her home on East State Street from a complication of disease.  She had been ill
since Christmas and had been bedfast about one week.   She was born Nov. 27,
1872 in Coshocton, the daughter of James and Mary Patton.  For the greater part
of her life she lived in Cambridge having moved about two years ago to this
place. Besides her husband, Samuel Clough, she leaves three daughters, Mrs.
Margaret King, Miss Loretta Clough and Miss Blanche Clough, Newcomerstown, and
one son, Fred Clough, Newcomerstown R.D. 1; five grandchildren and one great
granddaughter.
    CARD OF THANKS - We wish to express our sincere thanks to those who assisted
in any way at the time of the death of our beloved wife and mother, Mrs. Jennie
Clough; to Rev. Foust, for his words of comfort, to the singers for the songs
she loved; also to her friends and neighbors who manifested their love and
respect by their presence and to all those who sent flowers.  *Samuel E. Clough

Jane Marlowe (Hall) - daughter of Margaret Hall & (?). Her mother married James
Patton May 13, 1885, when Jennie was about 6 years old.
