In The Name of God Amen

The third day of march in the Seventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of faith etc
and in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred & Twenty & Twenty one
I Casper Leendertse Conyn of Claverack in the County of Albany in the
province of New York Yeoman being weak sickly of body, but yet of perfect
mind memory & understanding praise be almighty god therefore I make this my
perfect will and Testament Contains Therein my last will and Testament in
manner form following that is to say first I recommend left to the memory
and protection of the almighty god that made me being fully persuaded by his
holy sprit through the death and [?] of Jesus Christ to obtain full pardon
and redemption of all my sins and [?] of all my sins and to inherit
everlasting life to which the holy trinity one eternal  deity be all honor
and glory forever amen and touching such temporary estate of lands goods and
chattels as the lord has been placed far above my deserts to bestow upon me
I do give ordain bequest and dispose thus in a manner and form following - - -

My will is that after my death that my well beloved wife Alectaka shall have
hold and enjoy my estate both real and personal during her being my widow
with full power to give dispose make and ordain any such part parcel or
particular thing or things of any my moveable or personal estate as she
shall think proper without [receiving?] or giving any account to any of her
children whatsoever - - -

Item

My will is that after my decease and the decease of my said wife that my son
Casper Casperse Conyn shall have hold and enjoy all my lands houses barns
barracks orchards and appurtenances whatsoever to the said farm is belonging
or in any wise is apportioning to him the said Casper Casperse Conyn his
heirs and assigns forever so as the said land is conveyed and made over to
me by Cap. Hendrick van Rensselaer to all intent & purposes whatsoever; that
is to say that my said son Casper a foresaid shall render and pay therefore
within the space & time of six years after the decease of my said wife to
the rest of his brothers and sister their heirs or assigns the sum of one
hundred & eighty pounds current money of the said province of New York that
is to say to Leendt. Conyn one equal ninth part to Anganitie wife of Gerret
Van Wie one equal ninth part to Janaka wife of Harma Van Salsberge one equal
ninth part to the children of Peter Conyn deceased one equal ninth part to
Maritie Conyn one equal ninth part to Comomertie Conyn one equal ninth part to
Elizabeth Conyn one equal ninth part to Raqel Conyn one equal ninth part to
Eava Conyn one equal ninth part to them their heirs & assigns forever as
aforesaid yearly an equal sixth part until the six years be complete & ended
as aforesaid and in manner as aforesaid - - -

Item

My will is that my eldest son Leendert Conyn shall have (have) for his birth
right as being my eldest son a cow or horse at his choice which of the two
and to bar him of any further pretension of his primogeniture - - -

Lastly

I make constitute ordain and appoint Samuel Ten Broeck mv.  Pieter Bronck &
Thomas Williams the sole executors of this my last will & testament and to
the survivor or survivors of them full administration revoking hereby all
former will or wills testaments or testaments by me made wills or bequeathed
this & no other to be my last will and testament where of I have hereunto
put my hand and seal in Claverack at the house of the testator the day and
year above written

     Memorandum that on the seventh day of June 1727 appeared before Philip
Livingston one of his majesties Council for the Province of New York Thomas
Williams Esq. & Casparese Bronk two of the witnesses to the within
instrument who declare on the holy Evangelists that they saw Casper
Leendertse Conyn sign seal and declare the same to be his last will and
testament in the presence of the other two witnesses Philip Conyn and Philip
Conyn Jun. And that the same time as it seemed to them he had his perfect
senses and understanding
