The Last Will and Testament of Edward M. Teall.
Proved and recorded October 13, 1849 as a will relating to both real and 
personal estate.

I Edward M. Teall, of Albany make this my last will and testament as follows.
First, I direct all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid,
Second I give all the rest and residue of my property to my beloved wife Eliza
I hereby appoint Otis Allen of Albany executor of this my last will and 
testament with full power to execute all contracts I may leave unexecuted, both 
as to real and personal property, to collect compromise and compound debts, to 
sell and convey real estate wheresoever situated and do all acts in relation to 
my property.

In Testimony whereof, I publish and declare the above as my last will and have 
hereto set my hand and seal this third day of April AD 1849.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Edward M. Teall to be 
his Last will and testament in presence of us whose names are hereto subscribed 
and who have at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each 
other subscribed our names this third day of April AD. 1849.

County of Albany    John S. Perry and Henry W. Dwight  of the 
city of Albany in the said county being first duly sworn in 
open court doth depose and say and each for himself saith that
he is a subscribing witness to the instrument now shown
to him purporting to be the Last will and testament of Edward M. Teall and
which bears the date on the 3rd day of April in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and forty nine, and this deponent
further saith that the said Edward M Teall the said time
estates did at the  said time of subscribing his name
as aforesaid at the end of the said will declare the said instrument
so subscribed and now exhibited to be his Last 
will and testament and this deponent did thereupon subscribe
his name at the end of said will as an attesting
witness thereto and at the request of the said testator and this
deponent further saith that at the said time when the said
testator subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid
and at the time of the deponents subscribing his name as an attesting 
witness thereto as aforesaid the said Edward
M Teall was of sound mind and memory, of full age to
execute a will and was not under any restraint to the knowledge,
information or belief of this deponent, and further
this deponent saith not.

Sworn and duly subscribed this 13th day of October A. D. 1849 before me

I Lewis Bendict Jr. surrogate of the county of Albany do hereby certify that the 
foregoing is a true record and copy of the Last will and testament of Edward M 
Teall late of the city of Albany deceased  propounded for probate and proved 
before me as a will relating to both real and personal estate with the proofs 
and examinations taken in relation thereto.

Additional Comments:
Edward McKinstry Teall was the youngest child of Revolutionary War veteran 
Oliver Teall and his wife Susan Paine.  He was born January 07, 1808 in 
Hillsdale, New York and married Eliza Sherrill Perry on June 24, 1834 in 
Stockbridge, Mass.  She was the daughter of Frederick Perry and Zerujah Sherrill 
and was born on June 05, 1812 in Lenox, Mass.
Edward McKinstry Teall  died April 10, 1849 (7 days after writing this will).  
He left his wife, Eliza Sherrill Perry Teall all of his estate.  His children at 
the time were:
Susan Paine Teall 		born April 27, 1835
Edward McKinstry Teall Jr.	born July 27, 1839
Henry Dwight Teall		born March 26, 1849

Five other children died in childhood.  Eliza remarried a man named <unknown> 
Morgan and died December 04, 1884. She is buried in Stockbridge Cemetery, Old 
Section.
