Burometto Sr., Charles A.            
COLONIE Charles A. Burometto Sr., 85, died Friday, September 3, 2004 at home.
Charles was born in Stamford, Conn. to the late Biagio and Angela (Papa)
Burometto. Mr. Burometto served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II
as an aerial photographer. He moved to Colonie in 1962 with his beloved wife,
the late Josephine (Nati) Burometto. Charles was the owner and operator of
Burometto and Nati Grocery Store in Albany for 11 years and later owned and
operated Burometto's Food Mart on Albany Street in Colonie for 40 years. He
was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who lived his
life for his family. Charles is the devoted father of Charles A. Burometto Jr.
and his wife Rae Maureen of Niskayuna, Margaret M. Polaro and her husband
Joseph of Schenectady, Blaise F. Burometto and Frank A. Burometto, both of
Colonie, and the late Angela Burometto. He is the brother of Frances U. Allen
of Albany, the late Mary F. Robelotto, Frank (Tony) Citarella, Vincent D.
Burometto and Mario Burometto. He is the cherished grandfather of Michael and
Crystal Burometto of Yorkhaven, Pa., Angela Burometto of Niskayuna, Cara Olsen
and her husband Kevin of Guilderland, Kimberly Polaro of Rotterdam and Debra
Polaro of Schenectady. Charlie is the great-grandfather of Dustin Burometto of
Yorkhaven, Pa. and Aneesia Rose Faye of Schenectady. He is also survived by
several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 7
from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd.,
Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday, September 8 at 8:15 a.m. then to St. Clare's Church where a Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary
Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community
Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Charles
A. Burometto Sr.
