Cardillo CSJ, Sister Rose Marie LATHAM Sister Rose Marie Cardillo, CSJ, formerly known as Sister Anne Dominic, died on September 27, 2004 in St. Peter's Hospital, Albany. Sister was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., the daughter of the late Dominic and Anna M. Lambert Cardillo. She was in the 50th year of her life as a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Sister was a graduate of St. Peter's Academy, Saratoga Springs; received a bachelor of art degree in biology from the College of Saint Rose, Albany; a master's degree from State University at Cortland and pursued studies at Trinity College, St. Louis, Mo. Sister Rose Marie taught in schools of the dioceses of Syracuse and Albany including St. Francis de Sales, Utica; St. John the Baptist, Syracuse; and Catholic Central High School, Troy. She ministered at the Family Life Bureau, Albany; Catholic Family Community Service as a social worker; and at Catholic Charities, Schenectady as program assistant. She served as religious education coordinator at St. John the Baptist Parish, Schenectady and at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Albany. Sister Rose Marie also served at St. Helen's Church in Schenectady as pastoral assistant and later as director of religious education. Sister Rose Marie is survived by three sisters, Joanne Walsh of Ballston Lake, Mary Ann Fitzgerald and Donna Wilcox, both of Saratoga Springs; and a brother, Dominic Cardillo of Saratoga Springs. The funeral will take place on Friday, October 1, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Chapel at St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham. Relatives and friends may call at the Chapel of the Provincial House on Thursday, September 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. Evening prayer will be at 7 p.m. Interment will take place in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.
