Campione, Louis T.         
ALBANY Louis T. Campione, 89, died Thursday, September 23, 2004 at the
Stratton VA Medical Center. Mr. Campione was born in Albany, son of the late
Frank and Frances Pazienza Campione. He was a World War II Army veteran,
serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze
Star. After the service, Mr. Campione worked as a longshoreman at the Port of
Albany for 50 years, retiring in 1984. He was a communicant of St. James
Church. Husband of the late Stephanie Krukowski Campione; stepfather of the
late Virginia Sinski; brother of Rose Picard of Rochester, N.Y., Nicholas
Campione and Lucy McCall, both of Albany, and the late Vito, Dominick, Elvera
and Vincent Campione, Anne Bellare, Mary Mehalich, Millie Duker and Angelina
Tomasone; good friend of Ed Lounello; also survived by several nieces and
nephews. Funeral Tuesday 8:15 a.m. from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490
Delaware Ave. thence to St. James Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call
at the funeral home Monday 4-7 p.m. Interment will follow the Mass in Calvary
Cemetery, Glenmont.
