Anyos, Gabor (Gabe)             
GUILDERLAND Gabe entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at
Community Hospice at St. Peter's Hospital. He was born on October 15, 1939 in
Budapest, Hungary to the late Herman and M. Tanzy Anyos. Mr. Anyos immigrated
to the United States in 1956 and was proud to become an American citizen. Gabe
was the loving companion of 25 years to Mary Lou Evans. He is survived by his
children, Stephen Anyos of Nassau, Joanne Anyos of Albany, Jacquline Anyos of
Voorheesville and Jill Adkins of Albany. He is the brother of John Tanzy of
Rochester. Mr. Anyos is step-dad to Eileen O'Dea and her husband Gregg,
Michelle Picolla and her husband Joseph and Jean Coffey and her husband
Vincent and their children. Gabe is the grandfather of Rickeya Miller, Damon
Anyos, Clint Anyos and Chrystal Anyos. Also surviving is one
great-granddaughter. Gabe's family would like to thank Dr. Mitnick and the
staff of Community Care-Albany Family Practice, lovingly known to Gabe as the
A-Team and all of the doctors and staff at St. Peter's Hospital ICU, oncology
and especially the Hospice Inn for helping Gabe spend his final days with Mary
Lou in comfort and with dignity and respect. Relatives and friends are invited
and may call on Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family
Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A
service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be
private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing
to honor Gabe can do so by making a contribution in his name to the Community
Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
