Death Claims Mrs. Hatton
Wichita Woman Was One of Oklahoma Settlers
   Mrs. H. B. Hatton, a resident of Wichita
Falls for almost a quarter century, died at
her home, 1400 Travis, about 9 o'clock 
Thursday night.
   Funeral arrangements in charge of the Merkle
Undertaking company, have not yet been made.
   Mrs. Hatton is survived by her husband, a
Northwest Texas land owner, and one daughter,
Mrs. C. H. McClellan, of 1402 Travis.
   A former resident of Jefferson County,
Oklahoma, Mrs. Hatton was one of the original
homesteaders in the Oklahoma territory.

Funeral Services Mrs. H. B. Hatton Will Be Saturday
   Funeral services will be held Satur-unday[sic]
morning at 9 o'clock from the Sacred Heart church
for Mrs. H. B. Hatton, who died Thursday night at
her home, 1400 Travis. Father John C. McCarthy, 
assistant pastor, will officiate. Burial will be
in the Sacred Heart cemetery. The body will be at 
the home until the time of the funeral and then
will be taken to the church. The Merkle Undertaking
has charge.
   Pallbearers will be Lee R. Gardner, Paul Avera,
J. R. McKinney, L. L. O'Neil, Wayne Somerville and
John Oechaner.
   Mrs. Hatton had resided in Wichita Falls for 25
years and prior to that, in Lawton, Okla., where she
had moved from New York. Born in Pennsylvania, she 
moved at an early age to New York state and lived
there until the family migrated westward.
   Survivors include the husband and one daughter, 
Mrs. C. H. McClelland of 1402 Travis and a grand 
daughter. Ruth Margaret McClelland. There is one
brother, John Cruise of Clay county. There are six
cousins: Arthur T. Shaughnessy and Margaret
Shaughnessy of New York City Mrs. Elmo Duhl of 
Elmira, N. Y; Mrs. J. J. Mahoney, Jamestown, N.Y.;
and Leo Shaughnessy of Elmira.
