 Mr. Luther Blasingame Buried here

The body of Mr. Luther Blasingame, of Hawkinsville, who
died in Macon early Tuesday morning, was brought here
Tuesday night and buried Wednesday. The funeral was held
Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mr. J. T. Barron at 2
o'clock and was conducted by Rev. J.M. Tumlin.

The body was laid to rest immediately thereafter in the
Glenwood cemetery.

Mr. Blasingame had been in bad health for some time but
the end came very suddenly. He had recently spent some
time in Thomaston on vacation to recuperate his health.

Mr. Blasingame was 49 years of age and a member of the
Methodist church. At Hawkinsville, his home, he was held
in the highest esteem by his fellow townspeople. He had
been quite successful in business undertakings and was
one of the leading citizens and businessmen of his town,
owning and operating the telephone exchange of that place
and other enterprises.

Mr. Blasingame was quite well known and liked in
Thomaston having visited here frequently. His wife is a
sister to Mrs. J. T. Barron and a daughter of the late
William A. Miller. He is survived by his wife and one
sister, Mrs. H.E. Bankston, of Roberta.

The people of this community extend sympathy to the
bereaved ones.
