BIRDSONG
George Lawrence Birdsong, Son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Y.
Birdsong, well known farmer of Thomaston., died early
Friday morning, Oct 2, 1925 at his residence in Dallas
TX. Mr. Birdsong was born June 15 1873 in Upson Co. where
he made his home until he finished highschool and then
left for Montgomery, AL., Where he attended College.
After he finished school he returned to Thomaston and
stayed a few months and then accepted a position with the
Southern Pacific Railway Co., at Dallas Tx, where he has
been living since his depature from this city.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Y.
Birdsong, three sisters, Mrs. J. J. Hardage, Mrs. A. E.
Bailey and Mrs. R. L. Watson, all of Thomaston Ga.

Five Brothers, Mr. Larry B. Birdsong, Mr. A. H. Birdsong,
both of Thomaston, Ga., Mr. L. L. Birdsong, of Ponta,
Texas., Dr. I. Walker Birdsong of Newborn, Ga., and Mr.
W. T. Birdsong, of Lakeland, Fla.

The funeral was held this Thursday morning, Oct. 8, 1925
at 9 o'clock from the grave side at Thomaston Cemetery.
The Rev. C. S. Durden, Pastor of the 1st Baptist Church
of Thomaston, Ga., officiating. Stephens Undertaking Co.,
in charge.
