Tragic Death
    ----------
One of the most tragic deaths that ever occurred in the county, was that of Mr. Charles N. Barron of Atwater, who was so badly mangled by a gin early Monday morning and who died after several hours of intense suffering.

Mr. Barron was attending to his duties at the gin of his father-in-law Mr. R.J. Fallen and was caught in the belting, such serious injuries being inflicted as to cause his death. His arm was badly crushed, a bone broken, besides being injured internally. Physicians were summoned as soon as the accident occurred but nothing could be done to alleviate his suffering.

Mr. Barron was about 35 years old and married. The deceased is survived by his wife and four children besides a host of relatives.

The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Church at Atwater. Rev. Whittle conducting the last said rites. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the obsequies.
