In Loving Memory of Mrs. J.L. Barker

On Jan. 21st about 2 o'clock P.M. the death angel came
and bore away the sweet spirit of Mrs. Annie Laura Barker
to give her a heavenly home. Her intense suffering of
four days was borne with patience and fortitude. At the
time of her death, she was only 27 years, 9 months and 12
days old. While this useful life is ended on earth, still
she lives in the hearts of those who knew her.

The funeral services were conducted at the Omega Baptist
Church by Rev. D.J. Skipper, who paid a loving tribute to
her beautiful Christian life and offered a prayer of
thanksgiving to God for lending us this noble character.

The burial occurred in Salem Cemetery, six miles distant.

She was the second daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C.B. Mangham,
of Hendricks, born in Upson Co. March 9th 1887. United
with Hebron Congregational church July 27, 1899, at the
age of twelve and was married to Mr. J. L. Barker Sept.
10th 1907. For four years she reside in Omega Ga.

She leaves a father, mother, a number of brothers and
sisters, a grief stricken husband, three children and a
host of relatives and friends to mourn her untimely
departure. Mr. and Mrs. P.C. Davidson

NOTES: Joe Lee Barker married Annie Laura Mangham. There
was no year date so I'm guessing 1914 -1915 from her age
on the obit.
