Peter Larsson Cock, who was born in Stockholm in 1610.,  adopted the 
surname Kock (meaning cook in Swedish) in 1641.   Peter was sent to New 
Sweden as an imprisoned soldier, and became the cook on the ship....
Peter married in 1643, probably to Margaret, ? dau of Mans Svensson Lom, 
who was also on the voyage.  Peter served as a judge, under Governor 
Printz, and won favor with the English by capturing Marcus Jacobsson, 
the instigator of the Long Ginn Rebellion of 1669.  He died in 1687 and 
his widow, in Feb of 1703...the name evolved into Cox, in the 18th Cen..  
There were 6 daughters who lived to adulthood, and who married 3 Rambo 
sons and Anders Longacre, Robert Lonshore and Bengy Bengtson.  His sons 
were Lars Petersson Cock, Eric Petersson Cock, Mans Petersson Cock, John 
Petersson Cock, Peter Petersson Cock and Gabriel Petersson Cock.
