  ROBERT THOMAS FLEMING, Menno, Mifflin county, Pa., was born on the homestead, 
February 24, 1840, son of John and Mary (Wills) Fleming.  Robert Fleming during 
the winter months attended school at the "Weiler school house," and worked on 
the farm during the summer.  He resides on the homestead, and by his careful 
attention to its improvement and his judicious management, he has shown himself 
a successful farmer.  In 1866 he went to Iowa and spent one year with his 
brothers, and again, in 1873, passed six months there.  Mr. Fleming takes a 
kindly interest in local affairs.  His position in the community is one of 
confidence and high esteem.  He has always been a Democrat.  He holds the office 
of supervisor.
  Robert T. Fleming was married in Dauphin county, in 1883, to Linnie, daughter 
of William and Sarah (Wolff) Bousum, of Juniata county.  Their children are;  
Mary E.; Laura M.;  Robert M.;  and John C.  Mr. Fleming is a member and an 
elder of the Presbyterian church.  He is a teacher in the Sabbath-school and 
served three years as superintendent.
  Mrs. Fleming's father was a contractor and builder of Juniata county.  Both 
parents are deceased.  Their children are:  John W.;  Catharine A.;  David;  
George;  Linnie (Mrs. Fleming);  and Mary.
