HOLLIDAYSBURG HAPPENINGS.

  Miss Effie May McDowell and Mr. George Turner Jacobs, son of Mr. and 
Mrs. C. B. Jacobs, of Hollidaysburg, will be married at the home of the 
bride's aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Ewing, at Ligonier, Pa., to-day at high 
noon.  The young couple will reside at Wilmerding, Pa., where the groom 
is employed in the Westinghouse works.  Among the attendants at the 
wedding will be Mrs. S. A. Hamilton, of Roaring Spring; Miss Sara 
Jacobs, of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. John H. Blumer, of Philadelphia.  Mr. 
Edgar H. Jacobs will be the best man.  Mr. Jacobs was the valedictorian 
of the class of '85 of the Hollidaysburg high school, and is well 
esteemed here as worthy of the richest portion of wedded felicity.
