 CHRISTY, Joseph.    Washington Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA

 Will of Joseph Christy.   In the name of God Amen I Joseph Christy in
 Westmoreland County Washington Township and State of Pennsylvania being
 old and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding blessed
 be God for the same Do make and publish this my last will and Testament
 in mannor and form following to wit and first  I commend my spirit to
 God who gave it and my body the earth from whence it was taken to be
 buried in a Christian manner And first it is my will that all my Just
 debts and furneral expences be paid and then I divide my property as
 follows  And first I give and bequeath to my dear wife MARGARET CHRISTY
 one gray Mare one Milk Cow and three Sheep my house and Kitchen with
 both house and Kitchen furniture and all the proceeds of my farm for her
 maintenance during her natural lifetime and it is my will that all my
 personal property not mentioned in this will be put to sale by my
 Executors  I give and bequeath to my son JOSIAH one young Mare one Plow
 one Harrow two set horse gears and at the death of my wife then all my
 property real and personal remaining to be put to Sale and the money
 arising from the sale of the real Estate to be divided as follows  first
 I give and bequeath to my son JAMES C. CHRISTY, three hundred and forty
 four dollars and fifty cents  I give to JOSIAH CHRISTY the (      ) the
 blance of the money remaining of the real Estate to be equally divided
 between MATTHEW CHRISTY  SAMUEL CHRISTY and THOMAS B. CHRISTY share and
 share alike and the money from the Sale of the personal property
 remaining at the death of MARGARET CHRISTY to be equally divided between
 my five sons above named and I reserve the grain in the ground for the
 benefit of the Family and lastly I nominate constitue and appoint my son
 SAMUEL CHRISTY and MOSES MILLER to Execute this my last will and
 Testament Revoking all former wills legacies or bequests heretofore made
 by me and declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament
 in witness whereof I hereunto Signed my name This second day of April in
 the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty.

 Legally proved and approved this 22nd of May A.D. 1850.  Same day
 Letters Testamentary granted to SAMUEL CHRISTY and MOSES MILLER who were
 sworn before me.  Invy filed June 10th 1850.  Vendu? list filed June
 10th 1850.  JAMES KENNAN Jr  Regr.

 Joseph Christy died between 2 Apr 1850-22 May 1850 (according to will,
 he was "old")
