In the Name of God Amen  I Francis BOYD of the township of 
South Huntingdon in the County of Westmoreland + state of 
Pennsylvania being verry weak in body, but of sound mind 
Memory + understanding (praised be God for it) + considering 
the certainty of death and the uncertainty of of [sic] the 
time thereof and to the (ennd?) I may be the better prepared 
to leave this world when ever it shall please God to call me 
hence.  Do therefore make + declare this my last will + 
testament in manner following--that is to say first + 
principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God 
my creator hoping for free pardon and remissions of all my 
sins + to enjoy Everlasting happiness in the heavenly 
kingdom through Jesus Christ my savior--my body I commit to 
the Earth at the Discretion of Executors herein after named 
+ as to Such worldly Estate wherein it hath pleased God to 
bless me in this life I give + dispose of the same in the 
following manner--to wit--I will that all my Just debts as 
shall be by me owing at my death together with my funeral 
Expences and all charges touching the proving of--or 
otherwise concerning this my will Shall in the first place 
out of my personal Estate and Effort be fully paid + 
satisfied and from and after payment thereof + subject there 
to--all the remainder of my Personal Estate, to wit, two 
hundred + ten dollars in Cash--Seventy four Dollars 
(arrears?) of pay due to me from the board of war one 
feather bed and beding all my kitchen and table Furniture 
with all out standing debts due to me I give and bequeath to 
my loving Niece Elizabeth BOYD daugter of my brother(s?) (?) 
[possibly "Hugh"] --Together with a land warrant for one 
hundred + sixty acres Military bounty land Number Eight 
thousand Six hundred + Sixty three which is deposited in the 
general land (office?) at the seat of Government thereto 
await my orders for its (?), which I also Give and bequeath 
to my said Niece Elizabeth BOYD to her + her heirs for ever 
and lastly I make and ordain John ROBERTSON of the township 
aforesaid Executor of this my last will + Testiment hereby 
revokeing all other wills + bequests by me made and 
declaring (this?) (+?) (no?) other to be my last will and 
testiment in witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and 
Seal the thirty first day of March in the year of our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred + twenty by the said testator as 
his last will + testement in the presance of us who in his 
presance and at his request had Subscribed as witnesses

Before me the Subscribe Register in + for said County came 
Andrew FINLEY Esqr and Andrew FINLEY the Subscribing 
witnesses to the within Will who being duly sworn agreeable 
to law deposeth they were present when the Testator Francis 
BOYD Signed pronounced and declare the same was his last 
Will + Testiment, that at the same time he was as they 
believe of sound mind memory and understanding that they 
signed as witnesses thereto in presance of the testator + at 
his request that the names Andrew FINLEY + Andrew FINLEY 
junior are the hand writing of the deponants
