In the name of God Amen.  I Alexander CRAIG of Salem 
Township in the County of Westmoreland and State of 
Pennsylvania Altho being in Some Measure (impeared?) in 
Speach articulation yet possing sound mind memory and 
understanding and knowing the uncertaintly of life to all 
men and absolute certainty of Death And being desirous to 
settle (so far as is in my power) my worldly concerns While 
I have health strength and Capacity so to do--Do make 
constitute and publish this my last Will and Testament 
Hereby Revoking Anulling and making void all and every Will 
and Willing by me hereto fore at any time made And first and 
principally I commit my Soul to my Creator God who gave it 
And my body to the earth to be Buryed in a desend And 
Christian like manner at the discreation of my Executors 
herein after named And as to Such Worldly goods where with 
it hath pleased God to entrust me I dispose of in manner 
following Viz.  I will that that tract of land Owned by me 
situate in the Township of Conimaugh in the County of 
Indiana Also that part of a tract of Land owned by me 
Situate in Armstrong County and on the Alegheny River be 
sold by my Executors herein after named at their discreation 
either by publick or privet (sail?) and that they or either 
of them make and execute a Deed or Deeds of Conveyances to 
the purchase or purchases there of providing that no Sale 
thereof or of either of the Said tracts of Land be made by 
me in my lifetime And out of the proceeds thereof and Out of 
Such monies as may be in hand at my Death And of such Bonds 
Notes and Book accounts and all and every other monies and 
accounts that may be due or to become due and payable to me 
That my funeral expences be first paid, And all the Costs 
and charges of proving +c of this my last Will and Testament 
and all my Just debts if any such at my death may remain 
unpaid Be paid and discharged by my Executers herein after 
named And that the remainder of the Said Monies be paid over 
by my Executers to my two Daughters Polly CRAIG and Peggy C. 
CRAIG share + share alike.  I will and Bequeath to my 
beloved wife Jean All my Household Cubbord and Kitchen 
furniture of every kind and description  Also all my Stock 
of living beasts +c. of every description as well all my 
farming (utentials?) and property of every kind + 
description for her use and to be disposed of by her as she 
may see proper  Item.  Will to my beloved wife that she have 
and receive from my Said daughter Polly CRAIG a comfortable 
and plentifull living and (?) off the farm whereon I now 
live in during her natural life it being that tract of Land 
which I bot of a certain Mr. WALLACE to which is attatched 
that certain part of a tract which I bot of John SHIELDS 
Esquire in his life time all that part (whereof?) a herein 
after willed unto my Said Daughter Polly CRAIG--I will and 
bequeath unto my said Daughter Polly CRAIG that said certain 
tract of Land Whereon I now live which as before stated to 
be purchased by me of a certain Mr. WALLACE and that small 
attatched piece of Land bot of John SHIELDS Esqr in his life 
(Excepting the (incumberences?) thereon of the (Intrest?) 
therefrom of my beloved Wife Jean for and (?) her natural 
life and that certain (part?) of said tract of Land herein 
after Bequeathed unto my said Daughter Peggy C. CRAIG and 
that part thereof herein after Bequeathed to my grandson 
Alexander Craig MOORHEAD) And unto his heirs and assigns for 
ever I will and bequeath unto my Daughter Peggy C. CRAIG All 
that tract of land situate in Salem Township and adjoining 
the Said Track of Land whereon I now live Which last said 
tract of land I also purchased of the aforesaid John SHIELDS 
in his life time and which now is in the occupancy of a 
certain William CUNNINGHAM John REED and others Item Will 
and Bequeath to my said Daughter Peggy C. CRAIG two acres of 
land with a saw mill thereon erected the (?) to be (?) and 
conducted and conducted [sic] by two disinterested men of 
the neighborhood to [phrase unreadable] of using and 
(working?) said Saw mill it being a part of the aforesaid 
tract of land which I bot of the said WALLACE each tract or 
piece of Land last Willed I Bequeath to my said Daughter 
Peggy C. CRAIG [phrase unreadable] and assigns forever.  I 
will and Bequeath unto my said Grandson Alexander Craig (M?) 
And unto his heirs and assigns forever all that Lot and 
piece of land surveyed off the above mentioned (piece?) of 
Land bot of the said John SHIELDS situate adjoining Lots of 
ground of his father James MOORHEAD and other Lots of the 
Town of Shields Burgh Containing three acres and one hundred 
and (?) eight perches, Which Lot of land is now in 
possession and use of the said James MOORHEAD And I will 
that the said lot of Land (do?) remain in possession of the 
Said James MOORHEAD And to his own (?) untill his son the 
said Alexander C. MOORHEAD arrives to the age of twenty one 
years or to the day of his marriage which ever of those 
events first takes place at which time the said James 
MOORHEAD is to deliver up full and free possession of said 
Lot unto his son the said Alexander Craig MOORHEAD And 
Should the Said Alexander Craig MOORHEAD die under the age 
of twenty one years and being unmarried I will and bequeath 
the said lot of land unto his Father the said James MOORHEAD 
and unto his heirs and assigns for ever I will and bequeath 
unto my (three?) Grand children namely Alexander Craig 
MOORHEAD, Sarah MOORHEAD and Jean Elizabeth MOORHEAD All 
that certain tract of Donation Land Owned by me Situate in 
the Seventh District in Crawford County and State of 
Pennsylvania to be sold at some convenient time by their 
Father the said James MOORHEAD and a Deed or Deeds of 
Conveyance therefor by him or by his legal Representative 
made to the purchase or purchases thereof and the proceeds 
thereof to be equally divided between those my Said three 
Grand Children Share And Share Alike And to be paid to each 
of them their respective Share by their Father the Said 
James MOORHEAD or his legal Representative  And lastly I do 
hereby Constitute and apoint William CRAIG (? of ?) and 
James McCLELLAND of Derry Township Executers of this my last 
Will and Testament ~ In Witness whereof I (the Testater) the 
Said Alexander CRAIG do hereunto set my hand and affix my 
seal to this my last Will.  Written on one sheet and 
Subscribed the 15th day of November in the year of our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred and thirty one

last Will and Testament in presents of the Subscribers John

Legally proved and approved the 20th of November 1832.  Same 
day Letters Testamentary Issued. Executors (?) by A. 
(Johnston?)
