All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sherry Norton noemail@none.com February 8, 2024, 8:24 am Source: Westmoreland Co Pa Wills, Vol 1 Lds Films #1,316,409 Written: November 3, 1795 Recorded: November 28, 1795 In the Name of God Amen The third day of November 1795 I William CRAIG of dery Township yeoman being very weak in body, but of perfect Mind + Memory, thanks be given unto God; Therefore calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and Testament; that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth, to be buried in a decent Christian manner, at the Discretion of my Executors; nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, And as touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give, devise, and dispose of the same in the following manner and Form First I give and bequeath to Ester my dearly beloved Wife the whole of my Estate real and personal During her Life; after paying all my Lawful Debts out of the same and at her Decease the Land and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging I Leave and bequeath unto Brother Joseph CRAIG but the personal Estate to be at his Disposeal as he May think fit or proper at her Death and I do hereby revoke and disanull all and every other former Testaments Wills Legacies + Bequests Making my beloved wife and Robert McCONAUGHEY my whole and sole Executors, Willed and bequeathed, ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and Ninety five Signed sealed published pronounced and Declared by the sd William CRAIG as his last Will and Testament in presents of us the subscribers Signed: Samuel CRAIG John (McCRIGT?)
